Max tracked per day

If possible, would be great to be able to have a maximum number of times you can track a certain habit per day. For example, going to the gym - very likely only going to need to track 1 instance per day (for most anyway!).

Thanks for the suggestion! This is very similar to another idea about setting a preferred daily goal for habits (named: [Set personal goals]). That suggestion also addresses the idea of having a limit, although it focuses on a preferred amount that can be exceeded. Your example of going to the gym makes a great point about habits that naturally have a maximum of one.
To keep all the feedback in one place and help us prioritize, would you mind upvoting the existing suggestion and adding your gym example as a comment there? This will help us see the full range of use cases.

This seems similar to other feature request (Max tracked per day). If so, can you please this feature request and upvote on the other request. If not, can you please verify what is the difference between your request and the other request

MABD This will set a preferred goal, that is possible to exceed. So the habit doesn't have a maximum, but a preferable goal.

Amro El-Hajj: That's a really interesting suggestion! I agree, having a preferred goal without a hard limit makes sense.
Exceeding a goal can be beneficial (like reading more) or detrimental (like smoking more). To address this, I'm considering adding a setting that allows users to define whether exceeding their goal is positive or negative.
Does that sound like it would work for you?

MABD Yes!
